About Jusoor

Jusoor, meaning “bridges” in Arabic, is an international NGO founded in 2011 by the Syrian diaspora. It aims to maximize the potential of Syrian youth through education. Known for its innovative and dynamic programs, Jusoor is non-political, non-religious, and operates in the US, Canada, UK, Jordan, and Lebanon. Over 12 years, its four key programs—Refugee Education, Scholarships, Entrepreneurship, and Career Development—have helped over 14,000 children and youth, trained 2,000 entrepreneurs, and supported 600 businesses.

Program Description

Digital Futures program equips marginalized youth (aged 14-25) with essential 21st-century skills through targeted training in coding, robotics, critical thinking, problem-solving, and English language proficiency. Participants engage in comprehensive learning tracks, including foundational and advanced coding, web development, and practical internships. This program not only improves technical skills but also offers career support, connecting young people with possible employers and improving their employment opportunities. Graduates emerge with valuable skills, increased employability, and the ability to pursue meaningful employment opportunities, contributing to their communities’ socio-economic development.
