Luminus efforts are focused on providing quality online education and support to the wider community in dealing with these challenging times. The rapid assessment showed many students were unable to study since they had limited access to connectivity, devices and basic needs such as food. Luminus mobilized and delivered monthly food packages to over 140 households. With repurposing of funds from our current supported project, Luminus was successful in providing 150 students with laptops, hundreds of students with internet bundles and were successful in transitioning their courses to online learning such as Culinary Arts and Advanced Computing. 22 students in the Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair School of Advanced Computing graduated during the lockdown, 9 of which got full time employment with a x 5 the average salary. Luminus provided the rest of the students a paid internship to gain work experience as they find employment.
